Silence Lists
Silence allows you to order the server to discard any private messages forwarded to you , from a person .
To add a user to a silence list :
/silence +mask
for example /silence +Risk!*@* will silence user with nick Risk
/silence +*!*@*.* will silence all users
The silence dialog box shows you all your silence entries . Select UnSilence to clear one of them , or Clear All to clear all of them
Use /silence -mask to remove a mask from a silence list manually .
IRCX servers have also the Access command to set a limited-time silence .
Note : /silence is different than /ignore . While they both block messages from users , /silence is a SERVER feature and /ignore is a TurboIRC feature . With TurboIRC , you can force it to discard only some types of messages , for example CTCP's . Also /silence works only in private to you messages , and not in channel messages .
